Thank you all so much for signing up. I thought I'd be lucky to have a dozen participants at most! I'll notify each of you about your pal sometime in the next day or two, and then the fun can begin.
If you've read this far, you get to see my very first skein of handspun:
It's only a few yards, and it's not exactly balanced, but I wasn't expecting it to be. It is what it is: the very first yarn I spun and plied. Laurie, aren't you proud?

Beth your handspun looks great! You should be so proud!
The first yarn, but hardly the last.
;-)
Spin and knit on.
Good job on the handspun! Congratulations!
Ohhh, I missed the official sign-up for the Unloved Sock Yarn Swap! :(
Well, have fun.
the first yarn is always special
Looks great. I plyed over the weekend too. More fun than I thought it would be. Always a little afraid of the unknown.
Looking forward to my victim, er I mean pal!
I'm going to go for it this week. A class where I have help for 2 solid hours will surely help. Your skein looks fabulous!
Yes, remarkably so! I'm also thrilled to share your pleasure in the creation. It looks really good!
Oh No! Your first skein can only lead to one thing - many many more! Well done.
Congrats! It's gorgeous! I've been afraid of plying but perhaps you'll inspire me... :)
It's beeyooteeful! Congrats! I think we've got another convert....
Nice yarn, Beth! Wheeeeeeeee

I've grown so fond of your podcast, Brenda, that I don't think a few weeks' absence would make any difference. Except that I'd miss it. And that's probably true for most of your listeners. I don't think you have to worry about your audience's abandoning you, especially those of us who have Itunes. It's just so easy to check for new episodes everytime I update my podcasts that I can't see that there'd be any difficulty learning that you'd resumed broadcasting.
